Undermountain Golf Course Hosts Third Annual Library Benefit
Boston Corner— Fifty-six golfers participated in the third Annual Roe Jan Library Benefit Golf Tournament held Sunday, June 13 at Undermountain Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Library’s Capital Campaign for the construction of a new Library for Roe Jan Area residents. Tournament chair and co-chair of the Library Steering Committee Meg Mettler-Wormley thanked the numerous business owners who supported the event through the purchase of tee, green and clubhouse sponsorships. $5,500.00 will be added the building campaign fund. The GMC pickup-Truck from Ruge’s GMC in Copake which would have been awarded to any tournament player who scored a hole in one on Undermountain’s ninth hole was returned to the lot. A chicken Barbecue was prepared and served by John MacArthur, Doug & Judy Westfall. Seventy people attended the barbecue hosted by Undermountain owner's, Jack and Pat Shakshober. The Shakshobers wish to thank the volunteers from the Library who staffed the event throughout the day and those who contributed baked goods for the golfers. Prizes were awarded by Meg Wormley, Ned Schneier, President RJCL Trustees and Trish MacArthur GM Undermountain Golf Course in three divisions as follows: This year’s golf winners were as follows:
